bill_clinton_and_mo_190963d The Monica Lewinsky scandal is known to have rocked the pages of tabloid leading to the impeachment of the then United States President Bill Clinton when it came to the limelight in the year 1998. The details of the extra-marital affair of the former U.S. President is all set to be re-ignited in the public memory once again when Hugh Shelton’s autobiography releases later this month. The memoir which has been titled “Without Hesitation: The Odyssey of an American Warrior” supposedly includes intrinsic details of the torrid affair between Bill Clinton and the White House intern and how the former United States president coped with it.

In the autobiography, the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Hugh Shelton reveals that during his final meting with Bill Clinton as the President of the United States, the 64-year-old Democratic leader is known to have wept over the Monica Lewinsky scandal. While recalling his last meeting with Bill Clinton, just ahead of the George W. Bush’s 2001 inauguration as the U.S. President, Hugh Shelton writes that Bill Clinton acknowledged that over the past few years, he had immense pressure on the chairman of the Joint Chiefs Of Staff due to his ‘activities’ while noting that he had failed to live up to the values that were expected from him.

Hugh Shelton further goes on to say in the memoir that during the meeting Bill Clinton was emotionally overwhelmed as he thanked the former Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for his unrelenting support which left him awestruck.
