Bihar Day events to be broadcast live
March 19th, 2011 - 8:07 pm ICT by IANSPatna, March 19 (IANS) The Bihar Foundation’s California unit has plans to broadcast the “Bihar Divas” (Bihar Day) celebrations March 22 from Patna to Biharis all over the world.
Ravi Verma, chairman of Bihar Foundation in California in the US, told IANS over phone that the live web casting will be a small contribution from the Silicon Valley in California to make the emotional connection stronger among Biharis away from home.
Bihar Foundation is a single window system of the state government to interact with non-resident Biharis around the world.
The live web cast is being managed as a joint effort of state-owned Beltron and Telecommand Software Private Limited in Katihar.
Preparations are in full swing here to observe the day, with the state administration busy to make it a memorable one, an official said.
