Bhardwaj takes over as Karnataka governor
June 29th, 2009 - 7:01 pm ICT by IANSBangalore, June 29 (IANS) Former central law minister Hans Raj Bhardwaj, who failed to make it to the union ministry this time, Monday took over as Karnataka governor.
The state Chief Justice P.D. Dinakaran administered the oath of office to Bhardwaj at the governor’s official residence Raj Bhavan in the presence of Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa, his cabinet colleagues, and leaders of the Congress party.
Bhardwaj succeeds Rameshwar Thakur who has moved to Madhya Pradesh as governor.
