Ben Konop who is the Democrat candidate for the post of Mayor of Toledo in Ohio has had to face some untoward situations recently. Recently in one of his news conferences he was unceremoniously booed by a man which ultimately forced him to shift his news conference to another place.

The video of the indecency has been put up on Youtube and netizens have flocked to watch it, in the process the process making it one of the most sort after videos at the moment. Even CNN has featured this news in one of their shows and Konop is reportedly going to appear in one of the network’s shows to put forward his views in context of this unfortunate incident. On the whole it seems that Konop has taken this matter lightly and in the right spirit as he has recently mentioned, “It was good video, I guess. It was entertaining to some extent. Although looking back on it, its funny for me to watch it. I can see how that would interest people.”

Konop who is the Lucas County Commissioner right now is a democrat and in fact began his political career in 2004 as the party’s candidate for the United States House of Representatives in the Fourth Congressional District of Ohio. As for this year’s race for mayor of Toledo, he is concentrating on improving the local economy with primary importance being given to working families. He is very passionate about his vision for the city as he mentions, “If we are really serious about the economic development for the citizens of Toledo, it has to come from the ground up.”
