Barack Obama and Manmohan Singh jointly address the press

The bilateral talks went on late is a very good sign for the countries of US and India alike.
US President Barack Obama spoke about the deep bonds between US and India, he spoke generously of India as a global power and that both of them held very fruitful bilateral talks that strengthened their partnership. They had some new strategic dialogue too. He also spoke about his commitment to India and that he has a personal partnership with the Indian Prime Minister.
President Obama also stated that he has accepted Indian PM’s invitation to visit India next year. He said that Manmohan Singh is a wise leader and that India has had great economic growth under him. He spoke about his environmental concerns, like green buildings, energy efficiency to reduce poverty and also spoke about fossil fuels.
He spoke about a strong operational agreement to deepen the cooperation amongst the 2 countries against transnational threats. He said that he envisions India with US in a world without nuclear weapons. He also spoke about expanding the Fullbright-Nehru program so as to get more students. He also welcomed India’s rightful place as a global leader in the world.
Then the Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh took the stage and thanked the US President for his generous hospitality and thanked him for his warm sentiments for India. He said that he was honored to be here today in this gracious country. He said that they are going to enhance the strategic partnership between the 2 countries.
He also spoke about the fresh impetus that was given to the collaboration between both the countries, in the fields of agriculture, education and health. He said that the ongoing cooperation would deepen in science and technology areas. He said that the prosperity of both the countries is interlinked. He also spoke about the meeting of minds on the future direction of relations between US and India.
