New Delhi, May 12 (IANS) Home Minister P. Chidambaram Thursday deftly evaded a tricky query on who will be the next railway minister if Trinamool Congress wins the West Bengal polls. “Consult me tomorrow”, he replied.
Asked by reporters who would step into Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee’s shoes as railway minister if her party emerges victorious in the West Bengal polls, the home minister said: “You should consult me tomorrow on this.”
The assembly poll results will be declared Friday and the Trinamool Congress has been getting favourable results in the exit polls. Banerjee is the chief ministerial candidate for the party.
According to sources, another Trinamool Congress member will replace Banerjee.
