Ashok Chavan sworn in Maharashtra chief minister

- Mumbai, Nov 7 (IANS) A new Democratic Front government headed by Ashok Chavan took office in Maharashtra Saturday evening.
Governor S.C. Jamir administered the oath of office and secrecy to Chavan, of the Congress party, at the Raj Bhavan in the evening.
Nationalist Congress Party leader Chhagan Bhujbal took oath as deputy chief minister.
