London, Aug 22 (IANS) An artist has installed a nightclub-style pink neon sign in 10 Downing Street at the request of Prime Minister David Cameron, a media report said Monday.
Tracey Emin has donated the More Passion piece to the government at the request of Cameron, The Sun reported.
The artwork, valued at 250,000 pounds, is in a first-floor corridor.
Emin, 48, famed for her 1999 ‘Unmade Bed’ entry for the Turner Prize, said she wanted to donate an “edgy” piece that visiting world leaders could relate to.
“We are very pleased to showcase British artists,” the newspaper quoted a spokesman for 10 Downing Street as saying.
