Argentinian president visits the Taj
October 15th, 2009 - 11:27 pm ICT by IANS ( Leave a comment )Agra, Oct 15 (IANS) Argentinian President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner visited the Taj Mahal Thursday afternoon alongwith members of her delegation.
Archeological Survey of India (ASI) officials accompanying her said the president took keen interest in the architectural designs and asked several questions about the history of the period.
“The dignitary was truly mesmerised by the beauty of the white marble mausoleum,” an official told reporters.
The Taj was closed for visitors for two hours.
