July 5, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): So the big question is whether the Gores would be attending Chelsea’s wedding? As per news and sources, one shouldn’t expect that. Al and Tipper Gore are in a mess and they wish to save face for the Clintons. Al and Tipper had a very nasty separation which was again all over the tabloids and Internet based news sites; sexual accusations have also been hurled at Al Gore to add insult to the injury. So it’s quite understandable in case the Gores cannot attend the wedding ceremony.

Chelsea Clinton, the former First Daughter is going to tie the knot with Marc Mezvinsky who is an investment banker by profession. The twain is supposed to get married on the 31st of July this year in Rhineback, New York. They would be married in the Astor Courts according to the New York Daily.

The non-attendance of the Gores at the wedding has further been confirmed by Kalee Kreider, the family spokeswoman. According to her the Gores had wished Chelsea and believe her to be a ‘wonderful young woman’. As per The Daily News, it’s still questionable whether the Gores were at all invited, since the list of the guest was limited to 400 people. Gore did say that he was ‘looking forward to Chelsea’s wedding’ in an interview with the Daily Beast, last December. Kreider was further asked if the Gores were at all invited to the wedding; she was surprisingly tight-lipped about it and curtly said “no comment”.
