April 14, 16 declared holidays in Delhi
April 11th, 2011 - 6:10 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, April 11 (IANS) The Delhi government Monday announced that April 14 and 16 will be gazetted holidays to mark the birthday of B.R. Ambedkar and Mahavir Jayanti respectively, an official said.
“The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit. The two dates have been declared as ‘dry days’, which means liquor outlets will remain shut.
Dikshit greeted Delhiites on the occasion of Ram Navmi to be celebrated Tuesday, expressing confidence that everyone will be able to imbibe the ideals of Lord Rama in their lives.
