New Delhi, Aug 6 (IANS) Anna Hazare lacked confidence in Team Anna and that’s why he had disbanded his team, the Congress said Monday.
“Actually, we don’t want to make any comment… Anna himself doesn’t have confidence in his team that is the reason he has taken this decision. But it is up to him to take any decision,” said Congress spokesperson Rashid Alvi.
“It is up to him whether he wants to form a party with other political people or with his team or if he doesn’t want to make any political party… it is not proper to make any comment.”
Anna Hazare announced Monday that Team Anna had been disbanded. He said on his blog that “the work that has started in Team Anna’s name has ended, the Team Anna committee also ends here”.
Team Anna had Friday announced that it would join the political mainstream to continue its fight against corruption.
