Amit Shah hospitalised
August 31st, 2010 - 11:36 pm ICT by IANSGandhinagar, Aug 31 (IANS) Former Gujarat minister Amit Shah, a key accused in the Sohrabuddin Sheikh staged shootout, was admitted to a government hospital in Ahmedabad Tuesday evening following medical complications.
Shah, who is in Sabarmati prison, had undergone a minor incision in the jail hospital Monday following an abscess.
According to jail officials, a decision was taken to move him to the hospital following some complications since he is also a diabetic.
“The clearance procedure took time and he was admitted to the hospital where he is undergoing treatment,” a hospital source said.
Shah was arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation July 25.
