Amar Singh’s bail a Diwali gift: Jaya Prada
October 24th, 2011 - 10:04 pm ICT by IANSNew Delhi, Oct 24 (IANS) As Delhi High Court granted bail to former Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh, his close confidante and Lok Sabha member Jaya Prada said Monday it was a “Diwali gift”.
“This is a Diwali gift for us,” Jaya Prada told reporters after the court granted conditional bail to Singh.
“I am sure he has done no wrong,” she added.
Amar Singh, arrested in the cash-for-vote scandal, was given bail on humanitarian ground Monday. He is presently admitted in the All India Institute of Medical Sciences here due to a kidney problem.
“He has fought the battle for others but no one was there for Amar Singh. He fought his own battle,” Jaya Prada added.
