Bahujan Samaj Party Lucknow, May 5 (IANS) Samajwadi Party (SP) general secretary Amar Singh has been accused of making derogatory comments against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati during a public meeting in Bijnor district, an official said Tuesday.
Acting on the complaint by Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) workers, an Election Commission observer in Bijnor has directed the district administration to provide recordings of Sunday’s public meeting at which the SP leader allegedly made the remarks.

“The CDs of the public meeting have been sent to the poll observer so that he can take necessary action in the case,” Shyam Bahadur Singh, assistant returning officer of Bijnor, told IANS.

The meeting had been organised to garner support for Yashvir Singh, SP’s candidate for the Bijnor Lok Sabha seat.
