Florida, Oct 1, (THAINDIAN NEWS) The Democratic Congressman Alan Grayson has been drawn into a lot of unfavorable light in the recent few days, ever since he made some statements against the health care plan bills of the Republicans. The Democrat Representative from Florida however, is battling all controversies bravely and opting to stick to his stand vehemently, even after facing an overwhelming surge of criticism from the Republicans.
On Wednesday too, he refused to be subdued and take back the remarks that the he had made on the night of Tuesday, in the House. On that night, Alan Grayson had stated that the health care plans of the Republicans pushed the sick Americans to a faster death when he stated that, “Republicans want you to die quickly if you get sick.”
Later on, in an interview to the CBSNews.com on Wednesday, the Congressman had stated once more that his remarks regarding the specific issue has been “overwhelmingly positive.” He is reported to have said, “People are calling us from all over the country to congratulate us for telling the truth. People are happy to see a Democrat with guts.”
According to sources, Grayson is supposed to have stated during the course of the interview that other than the Republicans, not many people have chosen to extract an apology from him. In defiance of the desperate attempt of the Republicans to seek an apology on the House floor, Grayson had in fact chosen to apologize “to the dead and their families” stating that, “..we haven’t vote sooner to end this holocaust in America.”
