Alagiri has not resigned: Karunanidhi
January 8th, 2011 - 12:53 am ICT by IANSChennai, Jan 7 (IANS) Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi Friday refuted media reports about his son and union Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister M.K. Alagiri resigning his post.
“He has not given any letter to me. They are media reports,” Karunanidhi told reporters here.
It was earlier reported that Alagiri had resigned from the cabinet and also from DMK’s South Zone organising secretary’s post over reported differences with his party over the 2G spectrum scandal.
Karunanidhi reiterated the party’s stand that action will be taken against former communications minister A.Raja if he is proved guilty in the allotment of 2G spectrum.
Queried about the party’s alliance for the ensuing assembly polls in May, he said the seat-sharing talks would take place after the Pongal festival.
