July 5, (THAINDIAN NEWS) As the July 31 wedding date of Chelsea Clinton with investment banker Marc Mezvinsky gradually comes closer, speculations have been abuzz about who would be attending the much anticipated wedding of the former first daughter of United States. Although the wedding ceremony by all means would surely be a star-studded affair but scandal-plagued former vice president to Bill Clinton, Al Gore is likely to skip the occasion.

Kalee Kreider, a spokesperson of Al Gore and his estranged wife Tipper Gore has revealed to the media that they would not be attending the wedding which is scheduled to take place at upstate Rhinebeck at Astor Courts which is the former estate of millionaire businessman John Jacob Astor IV. In the statement that has been released by the family spokesperson of the Gores, it has also been mentioned the former vice-president of the United States and his estranged wife offer their best wishes to Chelsea Clinton and shared the excitement if the Clinton family. However, speculations are also high among the political circle about whether the Gores have indeed been invited to the much-awaited wedding.

In an interview to a leading news source late last year, Al Gore had stated that he had a conversation with President Bill Clinton few days earlier in which he had mentioned that he was really looking forward to Chelsea Clinton’s wedding. At that time, the statement was considered to be a strong indication that Al Gore would be attending the wedding. However, when the family spokesperson Kalee Kreider was asked about whether the Gores had been invited, she refused to comment on the matter.
