New Delhi, July 21 (IANS) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, who is a Sikh, Monday quoted 10th Sikh guru Gobind Singh to drive home his point that his United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government was on the path to victory in the vote of confidence. “Deh shiva var mohe hai shubh karman te kabhun na daroon, na daroon ersoh jab chahe laroon, nishche kar apni jeet karoon (With the blessings of the almighty, I am not afraid to do good deeds and fight for them and I will ensure that I achieve victory),” the prime minister quoted the warrior Guru in his brief speech in the Lok Sabha.
The hymn formed the culmination of his brief introductory speech as he moved the motion on the vote of confidence.
