Agra, Dec 6 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Lok Sabha MP from Agra Rama Shankar Katheria began a march to Delhi Sunday afternoon along with hundreds of party workers to press for their demands, including of an international airport for the city.
Katheria told IANS: “Our agenda is Agra’s speedy development. For decades the city has been denied its share in terms of developmental activities. Among the chief demands are an international airport for the city, a barrage on the Yamuna and resolution of the long-pending issue of a high court bench which was recommended by the centrally appointed Jaswant Singh Commission in the 1980s.”
Katheria will reach Jantar Mantar in New Delhi Dec 11 along with party workers and will later submit a memorandum addressed to President Pratibha Patil.
