Ranchi, Oct 14 (IANS) Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) prime ministerial candidate L.K. Advani is set to address a party rally in the Jharkhand capital Wednesday, the second such rally in the state within a month, officials said.Advani will address the rally at the Morabadi grounds here.
“It will be an impressive rally. We organised a huge rally in Dumka and this rally will be more successful than the Dumka rally,” said state BJP president P.N. Singh.
Last month, the BJP leader had addressed a gathering in Dumka that attracted a huge crowd.
Advani’s rally is seen as a move to strengthen the party in the state, which has 14 Lok Sabha seats, before the forthcoming elections. At present, BJP has no MP in Lok Sabha from the state. The lone Lok Sabha MP and former chief minister Babulal Marandi quit the party in 2006.
