New Delhi, Oct 11 (IANS) Hitting out at Bharatiya Janata Party leader L.K. Advani for his 38-day rath yatra which began in Bihar Tuesday, Congress leader Ashwani Kumar said Advani’s sole aim is to become the prime minister and his rath yatra would not serve any purpose.
“L.K. Advani has only one aim in his life… that is to become prime minister of the country. I would humbly convey my message to him that people are aware of your motives, no matter how many rath yatras you hold,” said Ashwini Kumar, who is also the minister of state for science and technology.
He told reporters here that the Congress is one party which will lead the battle against corruption.
“I request Advani-ji not to mislead the citizens of the country as his first rath yatra had divided the country and created an atmosphere of genocide. I request him to spare the citizens of India,” Ashwani Kumar added.
“We have seen many rath yatras and elections in the country but people will vote according to their wisdom. And the Congress will be voted to power again,” he said.
