Achuthanandan to contest again from Mallampuzha

Achuthanandan would be contesting the April 13 elections from the Mallampuzha assembly constituency, the Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPI-M) announced Friday. This follows widespread protests in the state after reports that 87-year-old Achuthanandan was being denied a ticket.
Mallampuzha is the constituency he represents in the current assembly.
