62 percent polling in Jammu and Kashmir

New Delhi, Nov 30 (IANS) At least 62 percent polling was reported in the five constituencies which went to polls Sunday in the third phase of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, the Election Commission said.Deputy Election Commissioner R. Bhattacharya told reporters here: “Polling in all five constituencies was peaceful. At least 62 percent of polling was recorded till 5.30 p.m.”

The voting time was extended by 30 minutes in many polling stations. The next round of elections in Jammu and Kashmir will be held on Dec 7.
