2,270 delegates to attend CPC Congress
August 13th, 2012 - 7:51 pm ICT by IANSBeijing, Aug 13 (IANS) A total of 2,270 delegates have been elected to attend the upcoming 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Xinhua reported Monday.
President Hu Jintao and another eight members of the Standing Committee of the Politburo are among those who will attend.
About 50 more delegates will attend the Congress compared to the previous Congress five years ago.
The Congress will be held in the second half of this year in Beijing. The Communist Party of China has more than 82 million members.
