21 election commissioners to discuss reforms
June 26th, 2011 - 10:41 pm ICT by IANSShimla, June 26 (IANS) Election commissioners from 21 states will gather here to discuss electoral reforms, an official said Sunday.
The commissioners will participate in the 15th all-India conference that will be opened by Himachal Pradesh Governor Urmila Singh Monday.
Sharabh Negi, the Himachal election commission secretary, told IANS that topics like checking criminalization of politics, modernization, electoral reforms and budgets would be discussed.
Chief Election Commissioner S.Y. Quraishi is not attending the conference.
