Bonnie Usher November 16 (Pen Men at Work): A woman from New Hampshire, accused of robbing a pharmacy wasn’t very difficult to trace. The law enforcement authorities were, in fact, surprised to find her name on the license plate of the car that had been used to make a getaway.

The woman had been wearing a hood and a sweatshirt when she approached the clerk at the pharmacy. She simply informed the clerk who was busy stocking candy that the store was being robbed. The employees were scared out of their wits as the pharmacy had already been robbed a couple of days earlier by men who carried shotguns. The employees thought that the woman was armed as well. However, the weapon turned out to be a painter’s knife which Usher, the robber, brandished.

A motorist witnessed the woman getting into her car and fleeing from the parking lot of Rite Aid in Manchester. He also watched the woman tosss away a few items from her car. The incident took place on Friday morning.

The police reported the strange case while speaking to WCVB TV. They discovered the car registered to the 43 year old Bonnie Usher who was promptly arrested from her home. The police recalled that her vanity plate read B USHER. The law enforcement authorities could recover the money that had been stolen and also found a ski mask lying around. The mask looked to have been tossed out from the car.

Usher was then taken to the Hillsborough County Jail where she had been held on Sunday night. A bail of $60,000 has been set on her. The documents of the jail, however, did not mention Usher having retained a lawyer.
