Thermal, California, Mar 11, (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a rather bizarre robbery incident, a woman suspect held a group of people at gunpoint at a Southern California shop and then fled the market after she could procure only $6. The incident took place at La Chicanita Market near Pierce Street on Tuesday afternoon. It has been confirmed that no none suffered any kind of injuries owing to the incident.

In a statement that has been released by a Riverside County Sheriff, it has been revealed that the woman suspect walked into the market in the desert town of Thermal, with a semiautomatic pistol. Witnesses have further stated that after she entered the shop armed with the pistol, she threatened ten customers who were present inside the store and demanded cash from them. Moreover, in a written statement that has been issued by Riverside Sheriff’s Department spokesperson Herlinda Valenzuela, it has come to light that just as the suspect was about to leave the shop she met the patron who was entering the shop then and wielded the weapon at the person and demanded cash from that victim as well.

Later, it became clear that although the woman robber was successful in threatening the people with the weapon and created widespread panic among them, following the incident she was richer by a mere $6. According to witnesses, after implementing the robbery, the woman immediately fled the site of the crime in a two-door car which being presumed to be a Honda. Meanwhile, any information about the identity of the woman robber has not been available as yet.
