Tummy tuck patient in Lyon, France discovers scissors in her stomach
February 16th, 2011 - 8:24 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattParis, Feb 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A woman who underwent a tummy tuck operation in Lyon got the shock of her life when she discovered that the surgeon was careless enough to leave behind the scissors in her stomach.
Due to the presence of the scissors, the hapless woman was continuously suffering from stomach pains since the surgery. The matter came to light when she had a coughing fit and saw a metallic piece coming out from her stomach.
It ought to be mentioned that Anne had put on some pounds after a couple of pregnancies so she went to a cosmetic surgeon for a tummy tuck procedure in October 2010. The surgery was successful, but after the operation she started having severe stomach cramps.
Anne’s husband said that, “As soon as she came out of the clinic she began to have stomach pains. She went back four or five times, but she was told it was not unusual after a tummy tuck. It was not until last week that she started coughing a great deal. This must have dislodged something, because she looked down and there was a sharp piece of metal about the size of a thumbnail sticking through her skin at her navel.”
The doctor in question has offered to remove the scissors.
