Lakeland, April 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A mother was alarmed when she realized that the drink that her son just took was alcoholic in nature. According to Jill VanHeest, she ordered a cup of orange juice for her 2-year-old son at the Olive Garden but realized later that the toddler has been given sangria.

After the child took the drink, he started behaving abnormally and that baffled Jill. According to her, when she confronted the restaurant it took them 30 minutes to realize what they have done.

Jill was distressed and questioned why the restaurant could be so “disorganized.” She has not given indication whether she would sue the restaurant for what happened but the restaurant has come out to state that they would change the way that they handle alcohol.

According to the managers of Olive Garden, they have always prepared sangria in advance but they would change that. They now intend to prepare the alcoholic beverage only after the drink has been ordered. The company has not stated whether they have fired any employee because of the incident.

A similar incident has happened before. Applebee’s Restaurant recently gave a child margarita in another mishap.
