Santa Monica, May 13 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There are gourmet meals and there are celebrity dinners to raise money for charitable causes. But the upcoming soup auction is going to take this concept to a newer level altogether.

A Santa Monica based Vietnamese café – Tiato opened last year and this year they are in the headlines because they plan to auction a bowl of soup for $5000. The soup is made of up of A5 Wagyu beef, white alba truffles, a foie gras broth, hand-raised bean sprouts and “noodles” from rare blue lobster meat. The money earned during the auction is going to be donated to the Children’s Hospitals of Los Angeles and Orange County and the UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital.

The soup is very different and since it is invented by the House of An, the group that runs Crustacean, which is located in Beverly Hills as well as AnQi, which is located in Bloomingdale’s South Coast Plaza, so it has to be something special.

There are reports that the auction would be held tomorrow and the event is being called as the Bash Benefactor Dinner.
