London, Nov 28 (THAINDIAN NEWS) It took ten firefighters to free a man who had a ring stuck on his manhood. The delicacy of the issue meant the firefighters had to wait 20 minutes before finally seeing the ring come off the man’s penis.

The staff at Queen Elizabeth Hospital in London had to call in the firefighters after they failed to remove the ring from the man’s manhood. The firefighters had to cut the ring to free the man’s penis from the ring.

The London firefighters have pleaded with the public to be responsible with their actions. Such incidents come at a cost to the government and ultimately tax payers.

Assistant Commissioner for operations and mobilizing Dave Brown told the Metro newspaper that, “These incidents are time-consuming, costly and take up the precious time of our crews who are then unavailable to attend other, potentially life-threatening emergencies.”

This is not the first time that the British firefighters have been called for an unusual task. According to statistics from the fire department, they have been involved in not less than 417 cases where they had to free people from being stuck in unusual places. Some of the “ridiculous” ones included people who needed to be freed from toilet seats because they got their head stuck.
