Taiwan man sues neighbors over his rude bird
January 11th, 2011 - 9:47 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattTaipei, Jan 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man in Taiwan has sued his neighbors because their bird made noises.
The man in question is Wang Han-chin and he is alleging that the parrot-like bird has inflicted emotional stress and injuries on him. Subsequently, he wants the court to punish his five neighbors for training the bird to insult and embarrass him whenever the bird sees him.
He claims that the bird will fly and start shouting “Clueless big-mouthed idiot” whenever the bird sees him. He explained that the taunting started after he complained to the police that the bird was making too much noise in the neighborhood. He claims that the bird mostly does this when he is leaving his apartment for work and this causes him to sometimes to lose concentration. He explained that the distress that the insults the bird heaped on him one day caused him to get burns when he was working.
The neighbors have denied the allegations and they have told the prosecutors that they have not trained the animal in any such way. Subsequently, the suit has been thrown out because he failed to convince the authorities that his burns were due to the taunts of the bird.
