Johannesburg, Mar 8 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The South African police are looking for two armed robbers who hijacked a car and returned a baby in it to the mother.

The robbers snatched the car from Thabile Khumalo outside her Johannesburg home. She was returning home with her mother and two-year-old daughter, Sinokuhle when the car was snatched from her at gunpoint. She pleaded for her daughter to be given to her but the robbers ignored her and drove the car away with the baby inside.

Thabile couldn’t believe her luck when she went out and saw that the baby has been returned to the gate about ninety minutes after the incident. The baby was not physically attacked by the robbers and Thabile admitted that she was scared that the robbers would kill the baby on the road.

She told South Africa’s Star Newspaper that, “They tried to take her out, but they must have been nervous, so they couldn’t. They chucked my mum out… I thought she might cry and they would get agitated and shoot her.”

The police spokesperson in Johannesburg told reporters that they are still hunting for the car and the two robbers involved.
