Yorkshire, Dec 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) This must surely be a dream fantasy for some people and esp. those who love drinking and love to spend time in a pub. Due to heavy snowfall, 7 people have been trapped in a Yorkshire pub since the last 9 days. Fortunately the pub is well stocked and also has rooms, so the trapped people have little to complain about. They are enjoying their status as ‘trapped pub goers’ by indulging in drinking, eating and they while away the time by playing games.

The trapped people comprise of 2 local inhabitants and 5 staff members who work at The Lion Inn in Blakey Ridge, Kirkbymoorside, which is located in North Yorkshire. They have been stuck inside the pub since last Friday because of the heavy snowfall. The snow managed to block the windows and the doors of the pub to such an extent that the trapped people couldn’t get out and due to the bad weather the rescuers are also having a hard time getting to them. The situation is so bad that the vehicles, which were parked outside the pub, have been totally ‘submerged’ by the snow.

“It was really novel at first and quite exciting. The snow is immense. Most of the windows in here are blocked up, but we’ve got a door open at the back to get some air when we need to. It’s been freezing, but we’ve been lucky that it’s a pub and B&B we’re trapped in,” according to waitress Katie Underwood.
