Runaway Poodle disrupts Oakland commuter trains
September 24th, 2010 - 8:22 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattSep 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) In a funny and bizarre incident, a runaway poodle managed to disrupt Oakland commuter trains and that too, in the morning rush hour.
The poodle was traveling on the train and when the train stopped at the Lake Merritt station, then the poodle jumped from the train and started running on the tracks. Efforts to catch him were thwarted when he disappeared into a tunnel. And as a result the Oakland commuter trains needed to be halted for some time on Thursday morning.
According to the Bay Area Rapid Transit agency spokesperson Linton Johnston, no passenger on the train claimed ownership of the poodle, so it appears that the poodle was traveling on its own.
The transit police officials and the BART station operators tried in vain to search for the runaway poodle, but they didn’t have any luck. However the poodle was seen jumping from the train tracks near West Oakland.
