Rooster kills man in a brutal cockfight
February 9th, 2011 - 9:19 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattDelano, Feb 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A 35-year-old man died of stab wounds when he was attacked by a rooster.
The rooster had a blade attached to its legs. The blades were attached to the feet of the roosters to make them deadly during cockfight.
That is what the dead man, Jose Luis Ochoa, did to his rooster. Unfortunately for Ochoa, he tasted the bitter part of the cruelty that he has been subjecting the roosters to when he was stabbed in the calf with the very blade that he had attached on the leg of the rooster.
Shortly after Ochoa was stabbed, the police raided the venue where he and other people were encouraging the roosters to fight. They all fled from the police and the police found five dead roosters at the place.
Ochoa was later rushed to the hospital where he was declared dead on arrival. There have been several theories on why Ochoa died. The popular opinion is that Ochoa died because he delayed in getting medical help.
Cockfighting is banned in most states in the United States because of the obvious cruelty that the animals are subjected to during the fights.
