Robert Gould’s car hit by flying cow
August 16th, 2011 - 12:30 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattLondon, August 15 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man was lucky when he escaped with just cuts after his car was hit by a flying cow! Robert Gould was traveling at a speed of 60 mph when the animal jumped a fence and struck the car’s bonnet.
Gould lost control of the car and the vehicle skidded about 80 yards before it stopped. The cow and Gould’s car came off worse after the accident. The animal was killed instantly and was removed from the road with JCB.
Gould said he has since been careful whenever he is driving. He said that, “I am now looking out for low-flying cows whenever I am driving.”
He explained how the whole incident happened saying the police never actually believed his account and tested his breath to determine the level of alcohol in his system.
Farmer Clive Langford-Mycock explained that the animal might have been frightened for the incident to happen. Speaking to Daily Mail, Clive stated that, “Accidents involving farm animals are very rare. Something must have happened to frighten the cow. Possible causes could be thunder or lightning, low-flying aircraft or one of those stupid Chinese lanterns.”
Gould was driving a Citroen C5 car when the incident happened. He escaped the accident with just bruises and cuts.
