Recife, Brazil Feb 29 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A Brazilian man tried to open a bank account using a government ID which had the image of actor Jack Nicholson. Ricardo Sergio Freire de Barros was handed over to the police after it was determined that the ID was indeed fake.

Incredibly, the police say there is no resemblance at all in the looks of the man and Nicholson. Officials say a search on the man yielded five fake IDs on him. One of the IDs however bore his own image but all the others had pictures of other people.

Some of the notable items that were retrieved from the man included 36 checkbooks, four credit cards, a statement which had a balance of R$2 million ($1.178 million) and several other false documents.

The police had marked Barros out as a criminal and placed in under investigation for some months. He was eventually arrested at the bank when he tried to open the account.

He is being held by the police having charged him with falsifying public documents and using fake IDs. He has denied all the charges and the police have conducted a mental evaluation on him as a procedure before he appears before court.
