Fleetsbridge, Feb 22 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The 24-hour Tesco garage in Fleetsbridge was the target of pranksters on Sunday.
The price of unleaded petrol was changed from the normal 125.9 pence per liter to 25.9 pence per liter. The pranksters then left LOL under the price that they changed. LOL is often used for Laughing Out Loud mostly on the Internet and other messaging services. Staff at the station quickly corrected the price when they realized what the pranksters have done.
Spokesperson for Tesco told reporters that no permanent damage was done as a result of the prank. The prank was spotted on Sunday by the staff and they changed it before a customer could hold them to the sign.
However before the sign was corrected, a picture of it was saved. Jimmy Skillings who took a picture of the sign before the staff corrected it said that, “”I know petrol prices are a joke but this is funny. Whoever did it sure has a sense of humour.”
Officials do not as yet know who might have pulled off the prank. It is however believed that the prankster actually committed the act in the early hours of Sunday.
