Ohio, Mar 11 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Police in Ohio are puzzled as to why thousands of dollars ended up along a highway in the state.

An officer who witnessed the scene later told reporters that there were so many notes lying around that he was tempted to think that the field was growing the notes. The notes were found on Monday by a motorist who alerted officers to the scene.

When the officers got to the place they spent hours just picking the notes from the field and along the highway. The officials did not give the amount that they collected but they told reporters that it was five digit figure. Initial checks to identify where the money came from proved naught.

The FBI, bank couriers and an armored car company in the state were all contacted to know whether they have lost money but they all responded in the negative.

There is bad news for motorists who might think that they may be lucky on the field. Police officers say they are sure that they were able to pick all the notes and warn other motorists that going to the ‘field of money’ for a treasure hunt might be a waste of time.
