Plane kills jogger in freak accident

plane March 20, 2010 (Pen Men at Work): A 38 year old Georgia resident named Robert Gary Jones, from Woodstock, Ga. went for a jog whilst enjoying music from his iPod close by to Hilton Head Island. Unexpectedly he was smacked by an airplane which did an emergency landing because of some technical problem near Palmetto Dunes.

According to senior officials, because of technical issues in the aircraft, it couldn’t make any noise and that’s why Gary was not aware that an aircraft was about to hit him.

The injured party has been recognized by his neighbors as Gary who was a sales representative in the field of pharmacy. He went to Hilton Head for his business assignments. He was a married man with a son and a daughter. According to his family members, he was very warm and a sociable person who used to regularly travel for his business trips.

Like a normal human being, he had many interests and hobbies liked spending lot of time with family members. He used to frequently visit the gym and liked remaining fit. He was also interested in playing golf.

The plane which was responsible for his death had an engine problem after it left Orlando Airport in Florida. This happened at about 6.10 pm on Monday. The pilot has been identified as Edward Smith. After he realized that there was a problem in engine when he was at the height of 4000 meters and the controller educated him to land the plane right away.

Investigations regarding the situation are still going on.
