People find Italian ‘Hitler’ wine bottles offensive

Venice, Aug 9 (THAINDIAN NEWS) Tourists in the city of Garda in Italy have been shocked by the fact that there is wine being sold in the stores with pictures of Adolf Hitler on the bottles.

The visitors in the city have said that the pictures make them wonder as they do not expect something of the sort. The tourists have said that the wine bottles are offensive as they do not show humanity. A case has been opened by Italian prosecutors to investigate why there are wine bottles being sold with pictures of the former German Nazi leader on the labels.

One of the visitors from Philadelphia, Michael Hirsch, who is a lawyer complained to the media after he found wine bottles with pictures of Hitler in different poses and also pictures of the Pope on wine bottles in a supermarket near his hotel. The local prosecutors who opened the case said that they do not condone any form of racism, anti-Semitism and Nazi fascism and they would get to the bottom of why the bottles of wine were being sold with the pictures on them. Hirsch says that the pictures on the wine bottles are not a good thing to the memory of those who lost their lives during the times of Hitler.
