New Orleans, Nov 7 (THAINDIAN NEWS) For years, records in the United States showed that Thomas Steven Sanders was dead. Well he was declared legally dead in 1994 after abandoning his family in 1987. That however seemed not the case because the police arrested Sanders several times after he was declared dead.

The FBI has issued a warrant for Sanders to be arrested again this time in connection with the disappearance and murder of a 12-year-old girl. The girl’s skeletal remains were found by authorities in a wooden region in Louisiana. This sparked a widespread manhunt for Sanders. He has lived under the radar for several years even though he has been arrested several times before. Authorities were never able to reconcile his identity properly.

The murdered preteen, Lexis Roberts’s slain body was discovered last month. She was last seen alive with her mother, Suellen Roberts in the company of Sanders. The police have revealed that her mother is not a suspect in the case although she is also missing. The police say they hope she is still alive and safe.

Investigators are still baffled as to why Sanders abandoned his family for so long. The authorities are requesting anyone with information to contact the police in its quest to solve this mystery.
