Nov 10 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A man from New York decided to call his dealer in order to purchase drugs from them. The deal would have most likely gone smoothly if he had not accidentally mis-dialed, calling the ‘Crime Stopper’s’ line of the sheriff’s department instead.

When Detective Alan Rozansky of the Erie County Sheriff’s Department got the call at lunchtime, he was quited surprised. Even after answering the phone with the normal ‘Crime Stopper’s’ greeting, the caller still seemed to think he called his dealer. They decided to play along, and arranged a meeting for the man to meet with his “dealer”, which of course was actually undercover cops.

When the undercovers met with the man for the deal, however, they decided not to arrest him, but to use him as an informant which lead them to another crime which was being perpetrated down the road. A thirty-five year old woman who was trying to sell prescription drugs to another man was arrested in his place.
