Nick Ginetta of Florida Car Lot, Offers Free Ak-47 W/Truck
November 17th, 2010 - 3:52 am ICT by Angela Kaye MasonNov 16 (THAINDIAN NEWS) The deal is pretty straight-forward at the ‘Nations Truck’ lot in Sanford, Florida. “Buy a truck, and get a free semiautomatic AK-47 assault rifle thrown in at no charge.” But many are wondering if this is such a good idea.
According to the general sales manager, Nick Ginetta, “We wanted to come up with a promotion, that would stir interest,” and boy have they ever. The free assault rifle promotion has been ongoing ever since Veteran’s Day, which was on last Wednesday. Since then, they claim that their business has tripled. “So many veterans have given so much for our right to bear arms,” Ginetta explained. “That’s why I did it, when I did it.”
Because of state and federal laws which require anyone obtaining a firearm to pass a background check. Instead, the truck purchasers are given a voucher worth four hundred dollars which can be used at the local gun shops to buy the AK-47 or another weapon of their choice. Ginetta actually was banking on the protests of those opposed to guns to promote his sales. “I chose the AK-47, because I knew it would create a stir,” he said, “I knew the anti-gun crowd would be appalled.” The sale ends on November 30.
