News anchor licks iPad as part of April Fool prank
April 6th, 2011 - 12:53 am ICT by Aishwarya BhattSan Diego, April 5 (THAINDIAN NEWS) On April Fool’s Day several pranks are played on people but a television anchor was left looking real stupid when she licked an iPad on live TV. She was tricked to believe that she could taste a meal on the device!
Fox News San Diego’s Shally Zomorodi never knew that a prank was being played on her when she was asked to try out a new app on iPad. Shally was convinced when she was told that the new app could make you smell and taste food on your iPad and smartphones. She then took an iPad from her co-anchor, Raoul Martinez and smelled it. After smelling the device, Shally proceeded to lick the device right on live television. She was later told that an April Fool’s prank has been played on her. She was left embarrassed and later expressed her disbelief that she fell for it.
Shally later took to her Facebook page and wrote that, “My peeps got me good… Can’t believe I fell for it!!!”
Video of the incident has been posted on the Internet. This year’s April Fool’s Day fell on last week Friday.
