Zucchini Sep 24 (THAINDIAN NEWS) A woman belonging to Montana managed to scare away a 200lb (91kg) black bear. The woman was woken in the early morning hours by some sound that was coming from her backyard of her home near Frenchtown on Thursday night.

Woman said she started looking around and then found that 200-pound bear had attacked her 12-year-old collie. Woman told the police that she screamed from her back door to divert the attention of the bear and grabbed zucchini from her garden in self-protection.

“The bear growled and was very aggressive and tried to come inside of her back door. She was able to stop the pursuing bear by improvising,” according to Missoula County Sheriff’s Lt. Rich Maricelli.

She told that when she was trying to stop the bear from the attack the bear bit her on legs and then swiped at her with its paw and tore her jeans. She flung the zucchini over the bear from approximate distance of 3-feet. The vegetable bopped on the top of bear’s head and then the bear fled away.

She said that bear was very aggressive and was trying his best to come inside from her back door. The woman has got minor scratches that don’t require medical attention but plans to take her dog to the veterinarian.
