Model falls out of hotel window
May 30th, 2011 - 8:05 pm ICT by Aishwarya BhattAtlanta, May 30 (THAINDIAN NEWS) There was a tragedy at the W Midtown Hotel when a model fell from a window on the 10th floor. The 30-year-old model, Lashawna Threatt and another woman were said to be playing when the accident happened. Witnesses say prior to the accident, there was no argument between the two women.
According to the accounts presented to the police by witnesses, Threatt and the other woman were “playing wrestling” near the window of their room when they fell from the window. The two women fell for about five floors before crashing onto a slanted ceiling. The other woman sustained serious injuries while Threatt died as a result of the accident. The other woman is being treated for serious injuries.
The commander of the Atlanta Police Department’s homicide unit, Lt. Paul Guerrucci, told reporters that, “They were play wrestling and the next thing you know, they went toward the window and through the window and out they went… According to the witnesses, there was no arguing during the hours leading up to this, either, so it’s really a tragic accident.”
The other woman has not been identified but some friends of Threatt told reporters that they were good friends.
