hotdogJuly 28, (THAINDIAN NEWS) Restaurant Serendipity 3 - a Manhattan eatery is known for some special and really expensive cuisines. It had the record of selling the costliest ice-cream sundae, biggest hot chocolate earlier. On Friday which was the National Hot Dog Day it set another new record. It sold a hot dog to a woman for $69. Incredible as it may sound to some people, Trudy Tant a resident of South Carolina actually paid that amount for a large sized hot dog made by the eatery. The Guinness book of World Records declared it as a record.

However the woman had no idea that she would become a part of the record when she was passing by the restaurant on that day. After she bought the hot dog and ate it she said that she did not regret paying such an amount for a single hot dog. On the contrary she said that the hot dog was great. She was with her daughter and mother and wanted to see the Serendipity restaurant. There she was asked to be a part of the record but even then she did not know the price she would have to churn out for it.

She paid through her credit card and her daughter sent a message to her father to inform him of the world record. The woman could not complete the hot dog alone and so her daughter had to chip in. Her husband admitted that it was unexpected but added that he was happy to know his wife made it to the Guinness records. The woman was offered a big frozen hot chocolate by the eatery later.
